                                Source: Google
The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi (in Old Delhi) in India that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned construction of the Red Fort on 12 May 1638, when he decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi. It was constructed between May 1639 and April 1648.

Our trip to Red Fort from Munirka
Along with some of my friends we plan on visiting the Red Fort in the month of Dec., 2018. It was 25km or 15.5 miles from our place Munirka.
We took an auto and due to heavy traffic, it took us around one hour to reached there.

The wall so big and magnificent. The place was crowded with people coming from different corners of the country as well as from other countries. It was amazing and wonderful to see a Royal Fort in person.
In order to get inside the fort we need ticket, so we bought a ticket and we all went inside the fort.
Surprisingly, there was a market inside the fort. It is called Chhatta Chowk or Meena Bazaar, where silk, jewelry and other items for the imperial households during the Mughal period were sold.

After crossing the Meena Bazaar, there is a very big which is kind of Garden or Park or Lawn and it looks so beautiful. Trees, grass and even the air inside the fort feels so refreshing.
There are alot of structure which I don't know the name of it. Even the inside was so big that we were not able to roam or visit each and every places.
Below are the pictures of Red Fort (outside and inside the fort)
